The CFV Ideology

CrossFit Valdosta is a fitness community that prides itself on top tier coaching and provides a welcoming and supportive environment. We are a gym that can help someone who is just starting their fitness journey while also providing a competitive environment conducive to elevating advanced athletes to the next level.

We believe "The needs of an Olympic athlete and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. One is looking for functional dominance, the other for functional competence. Competence and dominance manifest through identical physiological mechanisms." This philosophy means we scale load and intensity; we do not change programs. This means that all ages and skill levels can train in the same atmosphere while working towards their specific fitness goals.

Jason Ray

Coach/Owner

I have been coaching CrossFit for over 5 years now, I also graduated from Valdosta State University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Athletic training. CrossFit is my passion and I love to introduce it to others! This community has been a blessing for me and my family, I couldn't imagine our lives without CrossFit.

Jeremiah Culpepper

Coach

I am 21 years old and have been doing CrossFit for a little over 5 years now and coaching for 3 years. My passion has always been sports and to glorify God in whatever I do. I was homeschooled throughout my life and was very athletic, so when I found CrossFit and realized there was an opportunity to compete everyday, I fell in love with it! It has been a huge blessing in my life that God has used in so many different ways and I couldn’t be more thankful! CFV is a wonderful place with an amazing community to get plugged into, and has an incredible competitive environment for athletes who want to grow and take their game to the next level!

Janis Lee

Masters Coach

I discovered CrossFit at age 55 when my daughter talked me into trying it. It is so much fun, and I was hooked immediately. CrossFit is always challenging and never boring. I retired from teaching school and became a Level 1 Trainer in 2013 and completed my Level 2 Training in 2018. I specialize in training seniors and anyone of any age who finds entering the gym intimidating. I can modify any movement to fit your personal needs. My classes are small and welcoming. I have had courses in mobility, weightlifting, and in training seniors. CrossFit will help you achieve strength, balance, flexibility, and stamina so you can enjoy your senior years. Come give us a try!
